“God has shown me how He wants to use my life.”

How you helped Hope Children’s Home in Honduras’ first graduate pursue her special calling…

Hope Children’s Home provides a safe haven for children in Florida, New Mexico, and Honduras.

And Belkis is one of those young lives that you have helped rescue from challenging circumstances. Belkis has lived at Hope Children’s Home in Honduras since she was 13 years old. And she wants to share her incredible story with you!

“My siblings and I were received into this warm home with loving Christian people. My needs were met not only physically, but also spiritually. I could clearly see God through the things He was doing around me. I realized the love He had for me through the many people He had placed in my life. Through the ministry of Hope, God has shown me how He wants to use my life.”

Belkis has served in the hospital ministry and medical ministry brigades. And now, at 21 years old, she feels called to live out that passion as a missionary nurse.

“I believe God has called me into medical missions. By meeting others’ physical needs through medicine, it will allow me to give patients spiritual health they, without realizing, so desperately need.”

Belkis was the first graduate from Hope of Honduras – and she recently finished her second year at Pensacola Christian College in Florida. She plans to return to Honduras and work alongside Medical Mission’s Outreach in the new surgical center that was recently completed on the Hope campus.

“I am so thankful for everything He has done in my life through Hope Children’s Home in Honduras.”

What a gift to see God at work in Belkis’ life and how the faith she grew into at Hope now inspires her to do great things for His glory. Her story – and so many others – are possible because of the partnership and prayers of friends like you. Thank you!
