Status of the Hurricane Damage

We were hit by Hurricane Milton as a category 3. Thankfully, all the children and staff are safe, but our 55-acre property suffered quite a bit of damage including…

  • Our front bridge flooded not allowing us to enter or exit the front of property.
  • There are 30+ trees down, including a few that fell on some of our housing causing damage.
  • Five power poles are down.
  • We don’t have power to the offices, school, some houses, and well which provides water to the entire property.
  • Several of our buildings have minor flooding.

Current Progress Updates

  • Our power is fully back up across property and power poles have been fixed! (as of Oct 28)
  • The waters have receded and flooding is no longer an issue.
  • Property cleanup is continuing but now in the hands of tree professionals to finish up.

How You Can Help

Give Financially
After assessment, we are estimating about $100,000 in damages, which is also the amount of our insurance deductible. A gift of any amount would be a huge blessing! You can give here.

Provide Needs
There are several food and household needs we have right now at our Florida location. You can purchase and drop them by or shop our Walmart and Amazon lists for delivery. See our Needs page here.

Pray!
Of course, financial support during this time is important, but we greatly covet your prayers and are so thankful for those have been praying!

Please continue praying for the safety of the children and staff, wisdom for leadership, and provision for the necessary repairs. We are so thankful for you!
