Seven Brothers, One Forever Family
When seven brothers first arrived at Hope Children’s Home in July 2022, their future was filled with uncertainty.
Separated in foster care and spread across three homes, they longed to be together again.
At Hope, the boys not only found stability, love, and a Christ-centered environment—but also the beginning of a journey that only God could have written.
Clayton, Jackson, Johnny, Waylon, Eric, Dimetrius, and Armand came to live in one of our cottages with Dell and Tara, who served as their cottage parents.
Under their care, the boys flourished. The two oldest even made the most important decision of their lives: they trusted Christ as their Savior and were baptized while at Hope.
But God’s plans for these brothers didn’t stop there.
An Unexpected Call
In 2023, Dell received a call from his adult son, Corey. Corey and his wife, Allison, were beginning the process of adoption.
Dell jokingly said, “Well, we’ve got a family of seven boys who may be looking for a home.”
That lighthearted comment turned into something far more. A week later, Corey called back to say that he and Allison had prayed about it—and they were ready to open their hearts to adopting all seven boys, if God made the way clear.
God’s Provision
Over the following months, God moved mountains. Paperwork, approvals, and countless details all came together in His perfect timing. By May 2024, the boys had moved into Corey and Allison’s home.
In March 2025, the adoption was finalized. Seven brothers who once faced separation and uncertainty are now thriving in the love and security of their forever family.
And Dell and Tara? The couple who once cared for the boys as “cottage mom and dad” are now blessed to call them grandsons—“Grandma” and “Grandpa” at last!
A Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
It’s a beautiful reminder of Ephesians 3:20—how God answers prayer “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.”
