Olivia’s Story

In 2016, Olivia was 12 years old. She was living in the woods with her mom and brother. No running water. No electricity. Nothing stable to hold on to.

Olivia's Story — Hope Children's Home
Where Her Story Begins

"I didn't know what a normal life looked like," Olivia remembers. "I didn't know how to act around other people. I was scared and confused."

Through a local church, Olivia's mom heard about Hope Children's Home, and everything began to change.

Those early days were hard. Olivia struggled to adjust. She didn't understand why people were being kind to her, or what it meant to sit down to a meal at a table, or sleep in a real bed every night.

But your support surrounded her with cottage parents who loved her, a Christ-centered community that welcomed her, and a future she never dared imagine.

"Hope gave me structure. It gave me people who genuinely cared about me," Olivia says. "And it gave me the chance to hear the gospel. That changed my whole life."

She Started Believing It Too

In the months that followed her arrival, Olivia gave her heart to the Lord. She discovered a passion for design and creativity.

And that thought she once carried, "There's no way someone like me goes to college," got replaced by something she never expected.

Belief.

Olivia graduated from college with a degree in Visual Arts. Something that would have been unthinkable for a girl who once lived without walls or a roof.

That degree did not fall into her hands. It was earned, step by step, because friends like you gave her a foundation stable enough to build on.

The Girl You Helped Rescue Is Now Helping Rescue the Next Generation

And now? Olivia is back. She works full-time on Hope's Marketing Team, managing social media and telling the stories of the children your generosity is reaching today.

"I get to be part of the place that saved my life," Olivia says. "Every day I walk through these doors and think, 'God brought me full circle.' I want every child here to know what I know: that they are loved, and that their life can be different."

That is your impact. Olivia's faith, her degree, the career she now loves. It all traces back to your generous heart.

Full circle. Only God does that.
