Bundles of Hope is about to break ground!

My name is Kara Dowler; I’m the new Director of Bundles of Hope.

And I’m so thrilled to write to you today – because Bundles of Hope is on the verge of an exciting season of impact…

You see, Bundles of Hope is now close to breaking ground on the first three cottages that will offer Christ-centered, temporary care for babies whose mothers are in crisis.

Although the original funding covered two cottages, Hope Children’s Home stepped out in faith and committed to building a third—believing that God would provide the remaining funds in His perfect timing.  Now, a final funding gap remains of $200,000 that must be closed to finish this first phase.

So today, I’m asking for you to prayerfully consider a generous gift to help provide the $200,000 needed to finish these homes and open the doors to care for more precious little lives and give them a hopeful future.

Each of these cottages will be a place of safety and nurture for newborns—giving their mothers the time, encouragement, and dignity they need to rebuild and reunite with their child.

This ministry is deeply personal to me—because it was the first way God connected my life with Hope Children’s Home.

It happened through a phone call that I will never forget.

While leading a maternity home in Michigan prior to joining Hope Children’s Home, I received a tearful call from a young mom I’d supported through her pregnancy.

This young mother was desperate, like so many moms who come to Bundles of Hope.

She had just given birth to her second child, Castiel, but was unable to care for him or his older sister, Grace.  Then she told me about a ministry in Florida she had found and asked if I would go with her.

That ministry of course—was Hope Children’s Home.

We flew down to Tampa together.  Her arms full of two little ones, her heart full of uncertainty.  And when we arrived, what I saw changed me forever.

The staff welcomed her with compassion.  Their words were full of grace.  The care they offered came from a place of true Christ-like love.

And in that sacred moment, I watched this brave mother entrust her babies to a home where they would be safe and loved.  It wasn’t goodbye—it was a courageous step toward a hope-filled future.  I knew right then that I had to be a part of this life-changing ministry.

Today, thanks to the support of generous friends like you, Castiel is thriving—active, growing strong, and full of joy.  Grace is adjusting beautifully too.

Their mother is working diligently toward reunification and making progress every day.  And it all began because friends like you made room for her and her children to breathe… to hope… and to begin again.

That’s the difference your gift today can make, opening the door for more children like Castiel and Grace to receive the care they need while their mother gets her life back on track.

Through your gift to help finish this phase of construction, you’ll stand with these desperate mothers and help them believe again.

I’ve seen the power of this ministry firsthand, and it’s truly inspiring to know that friends like you care deeply for these babies and their moms.

I wish you could have seen the look of peace, relief, and hope that came over Castiel and Grace’s mom when the staff at Hope Children’s Home welcomed them in.
