Bundles of Hope Update

from Matt Higgins, Executive Director
Matt Higgins

First, I want to thank you for partnering with us on this pioneering journey of Bundles of Hope.

I once heard someone say, “Good things take time, great things take a little longer.”

Although we’ve been blessed to bring in several babies into our current cottages at Hope, it feels like the Bundles of Hope houses have taken much longer to begin construction than we originally hoped for.

However, we continue to make progress and are closer than ever to officially breaking ground and rescuing even more babies from abortion and desperate situations!

Last week, we had a very important meeting with the engineers, site developers, and general contractors.

We discussed the final tweaks to the site plan as well as next steps moving forward with beginning the infrastructure work.

Once the infrastructure work has begun, our plan is to simultaneously build the first two houses while the site development is also underway. This will reduce our completion date by several months!

As of now, the Civil Engineering team is making their final calculations for things like storm water runoff and erosion control. Our general contractor will soon begin soil density testing to aid the engineers in their work as well as create the project scheduling timeline.

The engineers need about two more months, and then, they will be able to bring their final construction plans to the County for approval. Once the County gives the final approval, we will be able to break ground! We are very excited to break ground by the end of this year!

There are many moving parts in a project like this and many of them are falling into place. However, and most importantly, we need your prayers to help get the Bundles of Hope housing project to the finish line.

Please pray with us for these 3 things:

  1. The engineers will complete their plans as soon as possible.
  2. The county will quickly approve the plans without any major changes or delays.
  3. The final $210,000 needed to complete phase 1 of the housing project will be fully funded.

Your support mean so much. If you haven’t fulfilled your pledge or would like to give a special gift, you can give here or at the button below.

I’m so thankful for your partnership, Friend, as together, we offer mothers a 4th choice and give babies a chance at life!
