Admissions

We are here to help.

We understand that sometimes life’s circumstances put you in a rough place. If you are struggling with addiction, financial problems, health issues, incarceration, or a complicated family situation and want to make sure your child is well-cared for until you can get back on your feet, then we are here to help you!

Our program is designed to love and care for your child 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until you are able to get life back in order. Because placement at Hope Children’s Home is voluntary, you have no fear of your rights as a parent being taken away. We partner with you to care for your child.

We care for all children, ages 0-17. If you have multiple children that you need help with, we are able to bring siblings in together and keep them together. Because of the generosity of our great donors, we are able to help you at a cost based on your income and that you can afford.

4 Easy Steps for Enrollment

Step 1: Contact Us

We want to make sure that we are here the moment you need us. You can contact us in 4 easy ways:

  • Chat: click the chat button in the corner (available every day, 8 am – 8 pm)
  • Call: 813-961-1214 (available M-F, 9 am – 5 pm)
  • Fill out the Inquiry Form located at the bottom of this page
  • Email Us

Step 2: Phone Interview

After our initial contact where we gather basic information about you and your situation, we will then set up a phone interview. The phone interview allows us to learn in more detail about your situation, better identify your needs, and provide us an opportunity to determine if we have the resources and expertise to help you. Many times the phone interview is scheduled within hours of your initial contact and usually lasts about 30 minutes.

Step 3: Application

If we determine that we may be able to help you and your child, then we will send you a link to our online application. Simply complete this application on your desktop, tablet, or mobile device and submit back to us electronically. This application gathers all the necessary information we need for placement and will be immediately reviewed by our admission team.

Step 4: Final Interview/Placement

If we believe that Hope Children’s Home is a perfect fit to help you and your family, we will set an appointment for your final interview and placement. This interview is in-person on our campus. This allows you to see our home and meet our staff as well as provides us an opportunity to meet you and your child. If there are any reservations on your end or ours, then we will not proceed with placement. However, if we both feel that Hope Children’s Home is the best place to give the help you need, then we will officially bring your child into our care!

Because of the specialized care needed, we cannot consider children who are:

  • Addicted to drugs or alcohol
  • Sexual abusers
  • Diagnosed with severe psychotic disorders
  • Violent or with a criminal record of violence
